White Tea

White tea is the rarest and least processed tea. Very young tea leaves or buds covered with tiny, silvery hairs are harvested only once a year in the early spring. The leaves are steamed and dried immediately after plucking to prevent oxidation, giving it a light, delicate taste. Research has identified white tea as having more disease fighting antioxidant than black, green or oolong tea. White tea is primarily from mainland China, but it's health benefits are fueling it's growing popularity and attracting other tea growing regions to cultivate white tea.
