Trees For Health Medicinal Herbal Garden A project of The San Diego Herb Club
The Trees For Health garden is located on the west mesa of Blaboa Park, San Diego. The original theme of the garden are trees that have traditional and current medicinal uses. The plantings include African Sausage Tree, Chaste Tree, Ginko and Tea Tree. There are currently over 40 specimens with plans of expansion. This is one of the newer gardens in the park and was established in 1998. Many of these trees are still young and will take about a decade for this garden to mature. The Trees For Health garden was featured at the HerbDay 2006 event held next to the trail head of the tree garden. Tours guided by knowledgable docents were given as part of the HerbDay celebration.
