Rooibos infusion is made from the leaves of a shrub like bush native to South Africa, Aspalathus linearis. Sometimes referred to as "red tea" because of it's lovely jewel tone infusion, rooibos tastes very similar to black tea, only smoother, and is caffeine free. Rooibos can steep all day without tasting bitter. It is rich in iron, potassium, calcium, copper, zinc, manganese, sodium, fluoride, and magnesium, and it is packed with antioxidant. Rooibos is said to have antispasmodic properties which may help alleviate stomach and digestive problems.
